Words: Davide C. Marney, 2014
I want to change;
My cold, cold heart to soften like the rain.
I promise you I want to change,
And be the man I'm meant to be.
Don't know myself;
Can't feel, like a stone: no flesh, no bone.
I want to live, to breathe, to feel;
Not made of metal, a heart of steel.
There is a heart that longs to beat again.
I've lacked attention, letting go,
Wand'ring, hoping it doesn't show
But God can change;
This hard, hard heart was purchased through His pain.
So sinners such as I could change,
To be the man God wants for me.
